Building a Bright Future for Commercial Real Estate
Reporting live from BOMA International's office—yes, the physical office—welcome to this month’s vlog! While the world around us remains in flux, BOMA continues to serve as commercial real estate’s learning laboratory. This moment is an immense opportunity for innovation, and I'm confident that BOMA members will lead the industry to new heights through the collaboration and information sharing that has been taking place throughout our network. We’re already turning today’s uncertainties into lessons and opportunities for the future. In today’s vlog, I’ll share some recent thought leadership I’ve gathered from our members to help us prepare for our "new normal" in commercial real estate.

Those of you who caught my 2020 State of the Industry address during the virtual conference know one takeaway from this moment is the need to leverage technology, operational best practices and a focus on health and wellness to provide commercial occupants with the best building experience possible. I recommend Healthy Buildings: How Indoor Spaces Drive Performance and Productivity, written by Joseph Allen and John Macomber. If you missed it, be sure to check out their education session from the annual conference—along with other fantastic, forward-looking presentations—available on demand!

And if you’d like to get involved in our Diversity & Inclusion Committee, please reach out to me directly at president@boma.org. We would welcome your contributions to this important conversation!

Be well,
