On the fourth Saturday of November, Ukrainians all over the world commemorate the Holodomor of 1932 and 1933. Millions and millions died a very painful death by forced starvation, due to Stalin's policy to eliminate the "Ukrainian problem"..
Americans join us Ukrainian-Americans, not only to bow our heads in solidarity in memory of those who perished but to pledge our resolve that this crime of the Kremlin to eradicate Ukraine is not forgotten and will not be allowed to happen again.
The people of Ukraine are fighting to preserve not only their freedom but also our western values. Let us not abandon them today as we did in 1932 and 1933.
As you may have read, Mr. Victor Rudd states that, "Supporting Ukraine is the safest...most effective strategy to stymie accelerating Russian aggression, including its contemptuous subversion of America. Ukraine has had a democratic and civic tradition that Russia never enjoyed, Ukraine produced Europe’s first constitution for a representative democracy, preceding Philadelphia by 77 years. It harbors a sense of individualism and a drive toward civil society that any American would recognize."
