GET INVOLVED
Doctor for a Day 2021
Doctor for a Day 2021 is looking for more volunteers! Doctor for a Day is a conference in Atlanta that gives high school and pre-med students the opportunity to be exposed to medicine and network with current medical students and physicians. This year there will be a "Journey & Life as a Physician" presentation, medical case review, medical student panel, two interactive sessions, and a networking lunch. Last year the interactive sessions involved chest compression coaching and exposure to pathology specimens. It really is a great learning experience!

If you're interested, email Dylan Krause, student coordinator or Andrew Hearn to learn more. We would love to have a strong Mercer presence and Andrew is currently the only medical student representing us.
Call for Entries
Each year the Association for the Advancement of Philosophy and Psychiatry offers the Karl Jaspers Award for the best paper on a topic in philosophy and psychiatry authored by a student or trainee. The award carries a cash prize of $350 and recognition in AAPP publications. The deadline for submission of entries is Friday, December 11, 2020.

YOUR VOICE MATTERS
The MUSM Office of Research, in collaboration with the Office of Student Affairs, is conducting a survey about ways to support student involvement in research and service activities. This information will help us to develop initiatives and programming to support students.

An online survey was created in Qualtrics and we would greatly appreciate your input as we decide on our short- and long-term strategies. The survey should take no more than 10 minutes to complete.

Please refer any questions to Dr. Bryant Smalley, Associate Dean for Research.
