Weekly Wins!

First grade has had lots of great one-on-one conversations with our students over the past 3 weeks about how their school work is going, answering questions and making connections to what we've done in class with what they're doing now. We have also had lots of positive feedback and support from our parents about the various aspects of the lessons we're sending out!
- Ms. Morris and the 1st grade team

We are recreating a classroom favorite by learning using Kahoot virtually with lots of friends from class! - Mrs. Mazzoni, 2nd grade

In all my video conferences this week the kids have said it's all making sense now and they are pretty much able to get everything done in less than 2 1/2 hours! - Mrs. Stumph, 3rd grade

Made it one whole day without making a mistake on a document in Google classroom!
I was able to see several, smiling student faces this week on Google hangout calls!
- Mrs. Schmitz, 4th grade

4th grade also did a fun Taxation without representation activity today. I'm even  playing the part of King George III by wearing a crown.  Last Friday we had a silent dance party and today we did our normal Cha Cha Slide. - Mrs. Carloss, 4th grade

The 5th and 6th grade Child Development elective class has been working hard to get their babysitting certification. These students have spent countless hours on learning the do's and don'ts of babysitting. I hope they get hired a lot to babysit after this social distancing comes to an end! - Mrs. Carpenter, Specials/Electives Teacher

In 2nd grade French, we are currently studying Workers in our Community. I had the privilege to receive many students' pictures where they pretend to be a worker. We also did a Scavenger Hunt using Google MEET, The purpose was to search in their house for a ''outil''  (a tool used by a specific worker). In this picture, you can see Stella B. and she is a ''mécanicien'' (a mechanic).

I had the privilege to receive many students' pictures where they pretend to be a worker (Ryker est coiffeur/Ryker is a hairstylist)  - Madame Maurice, French Teacher

The Fifth Dimension - Welcome to Middle School
Virtual Parent Information Night

Tuesday, April 14 at 5:30pm

The Fifth Dimension is a place where students and teachers are known and appreciated. Mutual trust and respect create an extraordinary community where learners explore new ideas, take risks, and embrace personal growth. This crucial year serves as a transition that sets students up for success in middle school. Come learn what to expect in fifth grade and in the WCA middle school. We will record this session and post online for any families unable to attend.

Yearbook Update

Due to the fact that students will not have a chance to have their friends sign their yearbooks in person, Tree Ring has enabled the option for yearbooks to be signed virtually. However, these signatures need to go on the custom pages. As such, I have extended the deadline for these pages to be completed. That deadline has been extended to April 15th , so students have enough time to send and request signatures from their friends.

WCA Code: 1015027251121021
New Deadline : April 15th
