President's Pen
As we celebrate Thanksgiving this year, we all have many reasons to be thankful. I am thankful to have the opportunity to serve you, the members of the Hicksville Congress of Teachers, as your president. I am thankful for your continued support of the HCT initiatives and events we have had so far this year. We have more planned for the winter and spring, so please keep an eye out. I'm also grateful to work with fellow educators who are dedicated to the idea that every single child in Hicksville has a bright future.

Happy Thanksgiving sisters and brothers!

In unity,

Stephanie Sullo
HCT Members Brave the Midnight Carnival
A group of HCT Members braved "The Midnight Carnival" Room at Puzzle Break in Syosset. The team worked together to escape with less than five minutes left. Great job to all who participated and a special thank you to Alison Silvestri for arranging this special outing.
New and Improved HCT Website

Welcome to the newly redesigned HCT website.
  • Member Portal: This area has been updated to include a public area for easier access to member resources and a members only area which requires user authentication. You can access the members only area using the current email address we have on file. If you require assistance, please email the HCT at [email protected].
  • About Us: A current list of your building representative and committee chairs.
  • Events Calendar: A monthly calendar of HCT events, HCTmeetings and important district meetings.
Virtual Food Drive for Island Harvest
HCT's Virtual Food Drive for Island Harvest has raised approximately $650 to combat hunger in our communities. While that is awesome - thank you to all who have already donated generously - our goal of $1,000 is within reach! While you're giving thanks this weekend, please shop the virtual supermarket below to help spread that joy to others this holiday season.  The system is set up like a supermarket where donors scan virtual grocery items, which are listed at wholesale price, and are meant to illustrate what a contribution like that could provide to the community. Please note the system accepts only credit card donations, not food. Below please learn how your donations help people on Long Island.  You can access the HCT Virtual Food Drive here .
