Each Friday, we will share an update with the most helpful resources we have found to-date, specifically for HIV/AIDS healthcare teams and PLWHIV. All past updates can be found on our website. Additionally, we will share information as we receive it on our Facebook page

  • The American Nurses Association (ANA) and the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) put together a free, on-demand webinar titled "Be confident protecting yourself and providing the best care to your patients during this COVID-19 pandemic": Click here

  • The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has updated its Phone Advice Line Tools with clinical algorithms to identify which patients have respiratory symptoms that may be due to COVID-19 and should be advised to see 9-1-1 transport, go to an emergency department, come to a health care facility or stay at home: Click here  
  • The CDC has a FAQ page dedicated to  COVID-19: What people with HIV should know The CDC notes that although the risk of serious illness from COVID-19 for people with HIV is not known, people with HIV may have concerns and questions related to their risk.   This is continually updated as information becomes available: Click here
  • The HRSA/HAB/Ryan White programs website has developed a Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Frequently Asked Questions page for information relevant to Ryan White grantees: Click here
  • During this unprecedented time of fear and stress, nurses are at high risk for mental health issues like anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress. Help is available and you are NOT alone. Through the Healthy Nurse Healthy Nation campaign, the American Nurses Association has a list of comprehensive resources about mental health help for nurses: Click here
  • The American Academy of HIV Medicine (AAHIVM) has updated its website to include considerations and suggested practices for ambulatory HIV specialty care during the COVID-19 pandemic: Click here
  • The CDC posted "Criteria for Return to Work for Healthcare Personnel with Confirmed or Suspected COVID-19 (Interim Guidance)" on its website: Click here
  • The Yale Program in Addiction Medicine has issued guidance for clinicians and opioid treatment programs: Click here
  • The CDC created a list of helpful tips to share with patients and clients related to running essential errands, including grocery shopping, take-out, banking, getting gas and doctor visits: Click here
  • Since more than 80% of people who contract COVID-19 will be sick at home, the CDC also created a list of tips for caring for someone who is sick in your home: Click here
  • The Infectious Disease Society of America (IDSA) published a user-friendly tool, CMS Flexibilities: COVID-19 Telehealth Services, with information on eligibility, allowable platforms provider requirements, claims submissions and CMS links: Click here
