Sunday, Oct. 18 marked the last day of the season for Passages Bar & Grill and the Admirals Club Beachside Bar at Haven Harbour Marina and Haven Harbour South, respectively.

A steady staff of 11 team members, some experienced and some entirely new to the ballgame, joined two-time Manager Terry Dean for a season that was both challenging and rewarding.

Chief among the difficulties were required safety adjustments in response to the ongoing public health pandemic, an opening that was delayed to early July as a result, as well as slight staffing changes with the in-season opening of a second location.

"Wow, who would have thought that our season would haven been so phenomenal considering all of the challenges that 2020 has brought to our world?" asked Terry in a recent telephone interview. "However, how could I doubt that it would be anything but phenomenal with the outstanding loyalty and support all of you have continued to show us..."

Fortunately for the tightly-woven staff, the positives outweighed the negatives. Friendships with guests were kindled or continued, birthdays and anniversaries were celebrated and memories were made with loyal and caring customers that will last a lifetime.

"It was uncertain if we would be able to open Passages this summer" said General Manager Woodrow Loller. "Thanks to the efforts of our staff and Terry, we were able to be open. Terry and her team did a terrific job under very difficult circumstances. I want to thank all of our customers for their patience and continued support throughout these challenging times."

Our Passages Bar & Grill and Admirals Beachside Bar crews could not have done it this season without the generous support of our slipholders, transient and inn guests and the local community. Thank you.
