Let Us Worship Together
Join us for a Facebook Live worship experience this Sunday at 10am – or participate later. It’s Reformation Sunday… On October 31, 1517, Martin Luther nailed his critique of the church - “95 Theses” - to the door of the castle church in Wittenberg, Germany. His ideas spread exponentially farther and faster than he could have expected due to Johannes Gutenberg’s recently-invented printing press, and helped catalyze the Protestant Reformation. Many churches commemorate this date as an annual reminder that the church is both “reformed and always reforming.”

We hope you can be with us as we think about our ancestors in the faith as reformers. We will also talk about what we might need to focus on today as we continue this tradition of reforming the church and the culture.

Livestream worship on designated Sundays. Look under videos for previous livestreamed services.

Inspiration
I stay, kneeling on the hearthstone, till the clock on the table strikes four with its
silvery little chime and I realize that I have been in a trance of prayer for hours. I have prayed and I believe that I have been heard. I have spoken and I believe I have been answered. No priest took my confession or gave me absolution, no church took my fee, no pilgrim badges or miracle cures or
little pieces of trumpery helped me to come into the presence of God. I simply asked for God’s great mercy and I received it, as God promised in the Bible that it should be granted.

Walk to End Alzheimer’s Saturday, October 24 | 10:00am
While we aren’t having a large in-person gathering downtown this year, we will walk as a team while others in our community do the same. This year, Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is everywhere: on every sidewalk, track and trail. The virtual opening and Promise Garden Ceremony is at 9:00am.

Then meet at Parkway at 10:00am to walk with masks and socially distant. We will walk on sidewalks from church to Clayton Road and down Clayton Road to about Principia and back for our 3 mile walk.
