To All Twin Rivers Unified Employees and Families:
In the face of great challenge and adversity, our employees are stepping up to answer the question, "How can we continue to provide education and important services to our students while our schools are closed?" I am inspired and grateful to see teachers, support staff, administration, parents
and families all stepping up to help ensure that our students continue to learn in spite of physical distancing.
Although we are in uncertain times, we have never been surer of our shared responsibility to educate and support our students

our future.
With the announcement that schools throughout the area, including all Twin Rivers Unified, shall remain closed through the remainder of the academic year, I am confident our dedicated TR team will continue to develop and deliver instruction and student services
.
I also believe that many of the innovative solutions we are implementing due to the COVID-19 pandemic will become lasting changes that will improve education for all students. As both a superintendent and a parent of three school-age children, I see this situation casting a bright light on the critical importance of school-home partnerships. As we face the reality of physical distancing, we are in closer communication with our students' families than perhaps we were in the recent past
.
I am committed to making this a lasting and positive change.
Schools are not open, but learning and key operations must continue, and I thank each and every one of you for helping us deliver on this obligation to our students.
With so much change happening at the same time, "we cannot let perfect become the enemy of good." My hope is that we appreciate the good,
and the effort
that is being put forward in bringing
to life a new instructional
delivery model. So please, practice patience and understanding as I am fully aware of challenges that this presents for the Twin Rivers Community.
