Mozart’s Requiem
November 10, 2020  7:00 p.m.

Mystery and beauty describe the timeless Mozart Requiem, to be performed by the LeTourneau Singers and Longview Civic Chorus and orchestra in a live concert on the Belcher Center at LeTourneau University, 2100 S. Mobberly Ave. in Longview. Director of Fine Arts Dr. Jim Taylor will direct as singers, instrumentalists and audience are socially distanced in the vast Belcher Center stage and auditorium. A pre-concert lecture on the works to be performed will be held at 6:15 p.m. 

The concert is open to the public and free of charge and is presented by Friends of the Fine Arts at LeTourneau University and LeTourneau’s Fine Arts Department. For more information contact Dr. Taylor at (903) 233-3379 or jimtaylor@letu.edu.

Volunteers Needed Nov. 21 at Newgate Mission

Longview EPC volunteers cook and serve up breakfast at Newgate Mission located at 207 S Mobberly Ave, Longview, TX 75602. Each 3rd Saturday of the month at 6:45 am Andy Howell heads up a crew of 5 or 6 folks as they prepare eggs, biscuits, sausage and gravy.

Newgate has arranged for this to be safe during covid- the food is prepared and packaged and they hand it out - instead of serving in the dining area. Click HERE to sign up for this fun and rewarding experience!
