Dear friend,
As the leaves begin to change and the air is cooler, Marina Pinto just published a blog about how special this time of year is in Canada.
For many of our listeners in the southern hemisphere, Fall isn’t anything like what we’re used to. The trees don’t lose their leaves. And the weather often doesn’t even change.
“The days are getting shorter, the temperature decreases and it is beautiful to see the change of colors in the trees in our city. “How wonderful it is to contemplate the beauty of our Lord's creation!” Marina writes.
“At this time the farmers finish gathering the fruit of their work in their agricultural fields. We also celebrate Thanksgiving and it is a time to give thanks to God for all the harvest in the fields and to remember all the blessings of God in our lives.”
This year, we’ve seen dramatic changes to the way we work, the way we shop, the way we worship—even the way we greet one another.
But thankfully our Lord Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Let’s “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever”.1 Chronicles 16:34
From the ENCUENTRO office we thank all of you for always being part of our work, for your financial support and for your prayers. Our prayer is that you remain healthy and safe right now.
We would like to ask you to pray for Marina Pinto. In May, she lost her brother Antonio because of COVID-19. A month ago another brother, Ramon, passed away in Honduras – also because of the virus.
This is a difficult time for Marina and her whole family.
