Love Notes
Each month, there will be a different group at Live Oak featured in our "Love Notes" appreciation program. You're encouraged to grab one of those pink sheets and let the group know how much you appreciate what they contribute to Live Oak life. October love notes will be for our Stewardship team. Please be sure to stop by the Love Notes box and show your love!

Selfies with Santa needs candy!
We want your extra and unwanted Halloween candy!
At Selfies with Santa, one of the crafts for kids while they wait for Santa is to decorate gingerbread houses. The SwS team would love your extra Halloween candy (or that candy you just don't like!) to use for gingerbread house decorations. Please bring all extra and unwanted candy to church or contact Marie Mulling (512) 817-6028 to donate.

Fall Campout Around the Corner!
It's almost time for the campout and I couldn't be more excited!
The location is Blanco State Park, Nov 8-10 and we have about 10 sites reserved for about 30-ish people! Don't forget camp chairs -- probably the most forgotten item at campouts! Bring a dish to share for the Saturday evening potluck. It can as elaborate or as simple as you want -- a bag of chips and guac or salsa count! Questions? See me or email me at campout@liveoakuu.org or join the Facebook Live Oak Camping Group. See you outside! - Jen Swan

Faith Development
Here's what you need to know this week!
Thanks to everyone who helped make our bake sale a huge success. We raised $290 for Angry Tias and Abuelas. Our pastoral care team also now has a stash of cards to send to members in need of TLC.
This Sunday our elementary class begins a five-week unit on loss. Parents will be kept up to date on what is being discussed each week so they can facilitate further conversations at home.
Adults are invited to participate in a 3-part series on "A Good Death." Regardless of your age, this class will provide information on the practical aspects of preparing for your own death or the death of a loved one, and how to deal with the legal side of death. No registration is required.
Are you a new member of Live Oak? Interested in participating in a small group designed especially for you? You can read more about it
here, including the link to sign up for the groups. The dates and times for the meeting will be determined as the group forms. The goal is to offer these six-session groups three times during the year, so if the first group fills or the timing doesn't work for you this fall, we will keep your name on the list for the next offering.
We really need help in our nursery/preK rooms, as well as a couple more elementary age volunteers. Let's grow our base of adults sharing the journey with our children, youth, and adults. Many hands make light work and allow for a richer experience for all involved.
