I-64 Southside Widening and High Rise Bridge Expansion Project

Full Closure of the Great Bridge Blvd Overpass

Wednesday, April 8 from 7 a.m to 4 p.m.

Great Bridge Blvd between Tennyson Street and the I-64 off-ramp will be closed to all traffic on Wednesday, April 8 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Motorists should follow the detour below. Detour information will also be designated with signage along the roadway. Traffic on I-64 will not be impacted by this temporary closure.

This closure will allow construction crews to safely mobilize necessary equipment for work on the Great Bridge Blvd Bridge as part of the I-64 Southside Widening and High Rise Bridge Project.

DETOUR:

Traveling South on Great Bridge Blvd

Right on Booker Street
Left on Bainbridge Blvd
Left on Dominion Blvd
End detour and turn left/right on Great Bridge Blvd

Traveling North on Great Bridge Blvd

Left on Dominion Blvd
Right on Bainbridge Blvd
End detour and turn left/right on Great Bridge Blvd
