Message from the Mayor

Hello everyone,

We continue to see a rise in COVID-19 cases throughout the province, but at this point, our COVID-19 cases throughout Lambton County remain low.

This week, Lambton Public Health released its COVID-19 case map. The map divides Lambton County into five areas and provides a snapshot of the geographical locations of the COVID-19 cases in the county. Lambton Shores is included as part of “Rural 2”, which has had zero reported COVID-19 cases in the past month. This is a testament to the efforts of this community. Thank you for remaining vigilant, and for continuing to protect one another.

The flu season is almost upon us. Health experts recommend getting yourself vaccinated against the flu. Lambton Public Health is hosting flu shot clinics throughout the county. Additionally, the flu vaccine is available at several local pharmacies, or through your primary care provider. More information on the availability of the flu vaccine can be found at Lambton Public Health Flu Shot.

We all have a personal responsibility in helping to control this pandemic. We must continue to follow the guidance of public health experts. Practice physical distancing, wear a mask when indoors, limit gathering sizes and practice proper hygiene. By taking care of yourself, you are taking care of others.

With so much out of our control, we can control our own actions. Choose to be kind.

Stay healthy, safe and positive.

Fall Leaf Pickup Program
Lambton Shores operates a Leaf Pick Up Program in the spring and fall at no charge. We will pick up your bagged leaves at the curb during the allotted time frame stated above as time and quantity dictates. The fall program will run from October 19 until November 13, 2020. Any leaves left at the curb after November 13, 2020 will not be picked up.

Pick-up requirements:
  • All leaves must be in brown, paper bags. We do not accept plastic bags.
  • Only leaves will be picked up, no garbage, brush or other yard waste.
  • All bags must be placed at the curb for pick-up.

Please do not rake leaves onto the streets or in ditches. This poses a danger to pedestrians, bicycles and motorists and can cause drainage problems.
