Club Reminders
Family Locker Room
If you have children who are too young to be in the locker room unattended, our family style locker room located adjacent to the indoor pool is ideal. It features private changing areas for co-ed families. Little boys can use the women’s family locker room until their 4th birthday.
Hot Tub/Jacuzzi
It is the policy of Liberty Athletic Club that children under the age of 12 years are not allowed to use the hot tub/jacuzzi, steam room or saunas. This decision was made after careful consideration and communication with several health and safety agencies including the American Red Cross, the Washtenaw County Health Department, and the Council for National Cooperation in Aquatics (CNCA).

Did you know?
Increasing a child’s core body temperature above normal (98.6 degrees) mimics a fever response in the body.
Additionally, young children are more susceptible to common pathogens, including many types of bacteria that may be present in the water. The effects of these pathogens can range from rashes and other skin irritations to intestinal symptoms and flu like conditions. The mode of transportation for these pathogens can be skin absorption or ingestion of water, which occurs at a higher rate in children who tend to play in the tub rather than soak in it.

NEW Live Ball Clinic

We are looking forward to the return of Maria Nivia to our Tennis Pro staff this month! She will be leading a NEW Live Ball clinic on the 3rd Thursday of each month. This co-ed clinic kicks off on Thursday, February 17th from 10-11:30am and is open to players with ratings 3.5 and higher.

Live Ball began when Tennis Channel founder, Steve Bellamy, noticed people were leaving tennis courts for yoga classes and spin studios, so he developed an edgier, high-energy game. Live Ball Tennis is a fast-paced doubles "King (or Queen) of the Court" game with no serves or returns of serve. It is filled with non-stop movement as the challenging teams try to dethrone the champions. It is a great cardio workout in a competitive, fun environment.

Registration is open and you can register 30 days in advance. The cost is $30 for members and $35 for non-members.

Join us for a high energy, competitive tennis workout!
