It's hard to believe that Westchase District is 25 years old. But those who live and work in the District have seen a transformation occur focused on beautification, public safety, mobility, and much more.

The District's story began with a service plan and the support of stakeholders who saw the potential for the area to become a thriving center of economic development and residential communities along the West Sam Houston Tollway. West Houston Leadership Institute Extends Application Deadline


West Houston Leadership Institute (WHLI) has extended its deadline for accepting leadership program applications to December 7. The 10-month program is for corporate, nonprofit, and community organization leaders to learn and dialogue about issues that affect West Houston. WDCF Virtual Meeting Offers Perspective on Election Results and the Upcoming State Legislative Session

Two veteran state lawmakers will provide insights and candid conversation on November's election results (local and national) and a preview of hot topics for next year's upcoming legislative session. Westchase District Community Fund
is hosting An Inside Perspective on Important Issues in Texas Politics.

Westchase District to Celebrate 25th Anniversary with Festivities at Farmers Market on Oct. 29, 2020

Balloon twist art returns to the Farmers Market on Oct. 29 to celebrate
Westchase District's 25th Anniversary.

The Westchase District Farmers Market is already a fun place to be, and on October 29 live music and balloon twist art will make it even more festive. Two artists will join the market to help celebrate Westchase District's 25th Anniversary from 4 - 6 p.m.

Singer/songwriter/guitarist Martin Shotwell will perform live music from various musical genres including standards from R.E.M., Blind Mellon, the Beatles, Fleetwood Mac and more. 

Kids will enjoy an incredible balloon twist artist who can create dogs, cats, monkeys, swords and even Spider Man. An exhibit showcasing the District's history will also be on view. The festivities are free and open to the public.

Bring the kids to join the fun as you shop for the best local produce and authentic products in Houston!
 

Two Blood Drives Coming to Westchase District



The Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center has seen a decrease in blood donations during the COVID-19 crisis, yet our hospitals still need a steady supply of blood to serve patients. There are two upcoming dates in Westchase District where you can donate to ensure the Blood Center is able to meet community needs.

Rayners' Bounce Back Westchase Campaign Aimed at Helping Small Business Regain Footing from COVID


Paul Rayner and his wife, Sharon, have stepped up efforts to help businesses around Westchase District with a free promotional campaign called Bounce Back Westchase.

Sharon and Paul Rayner have experienced first-hand the negative impact of COVID on their long-time Westchase District business Minuteman Press. Although the couple saw a 50 percent drop in revenue, they did all they could to keep their business operating and their employees working. As franchise owners, they found help right away from the printing company's corporate office. Hence, Bounce Back Westchase was launched. Read More.
