Spirit Week - Next Week!

Following are the dress up days for next week:

March 7: My Team Monday – Support your favorite team by wearing gear to represent them!
March 8: Top of Your Head Tuesday – Wear your favorite hat or hood to cover the top of your head.
March 9: Wacky Wednesday – Show off your style with whatever wacky combinations you like.
March 10: Thrive Thursday – Celebrate Heritage and our year’s theme of Thrive by sporting your Heritage gear!
March 11: Freedom Friday – Be creative in celebrating America and the freedoms we have.
Educating for Eternity Gala - Tomorrow Night!

We're looking forward to our EFE Gala tomorrow night in the gym. Doors open at 5:30pm for silent auction bidding and student performances. Welcome and Prayer is at 6:30 with the Dinner and Program to follow.

Whether you're able to attend or not, don't forget to check out the silent auction items at https://onecau.se/_dau and place your bids! The silent auction will close at 9:30pm tomorrow evening.
H.A.N.D.S. Meeting - Wed, March 9

Join us next Wednesday, March 9th for our monthly H.A.N.D.S. meeting. We'll meet in the kitchen after drop off. Everyone is welcome!
Seeking Board Candidates

The Heritage Board of Directors election is coming up in May and there are several open positions. If you love Jesus, believe in the mission and vision of Heritage, and are looking for a way to serve the school, please reach out to Natasha Miller, Board President, for more information and an application. 

Each Board term is a three year commitment, with monthly Board meetings on the fourth Thursday evening of the month. The deadline to apply is Friday, March 11, and interviews will take place with the Board at the end of March.

We're currently recruiting for the following possible open positions for the 2022-23 school year. (Some due to adding a section and some due to uncertainty of teachers returning).

  • Middle School Language Arts & Literature Teacher

Finance and Enrollment Coordinator Position - Spread the Word!

We're looking for a Finance and Enrollment Coordinator to join our team effective immediately. Missions

Many of you may recognize these two faces, but for those of you that don’t… Miss Mysnyk is a former Heritage student and teacher, and she is currently serving as a global worker. Anani is the sweet boy from Togo that we sponsor as a school through Compassion International. We encourage you to be praying for them, as we continue to pray for them at school with your children. Students will be given a card (see below) to remind them to pray as well. Students are welcome to contribute towards Anani’s sponsorship (through Compassion International) through giving money at chapel during offering. Thank you!

Sports Update

Track season is right around the corner and we're excited that Jim Turnbough and Sarah Franje will be coaching our track athletes again this year. If your 5th-8th grade student is interested in participating this year, please email Mr. Harshman (harshmanj@hcs-nl.com) and turn in the following forms by Thursday, March 10:

  1. Athletic Participation Fee Form ($40/athlete for track)
  2. Heritage Christian School Athletic Contract
  3. Insurance Waiver
  4. Emergency Medical Authorization
  5. Iowa Athletic Pre-Participation Physical Examination
  6. Heads Up Concussion Form
  7. Track Permission Form
