Economic inclusion is a vital component in pursuing business success. It is for that reason, Frederick County Office of Economic Development (OED) and local company, Platinum PR (PPR), are creating a new Diversity and Inclusion pilot program to promote economic diversity, equity, and inclusion in Frederick County. Under this pilot program, OED and PPR will focus on three major initiatives: increased and sustained outreach efforts to underrepresented business owners, broader education programs on inclusivity and support for existing businesses and partnership projects with local organizations dedicated to under served people in Frederick County.
Our hope is that this program addresses economic inclusion in a comprehensive manner. Although we are in the beginning stages of developing this program, we are excited about the potential for its impact in our community.
