Teen Crocheting

In this two part series teens will learn the basics of crocheting and create their own scarf. There is a onetime fee of $5.00 to cover the cost of the crochet needles, which the teens will be able to keep after class. The fee will be paid to the instructor at the beginning of the first class.

Grief Touches Everyone

The Baptist Reynolds Hospice House of Collierville (next to the Collierville Hospital) offers grief counseling. Grief Counselor, Carolyn Danley, will be at the library conducting a grief workshop on November 11th. Whether you are struggling to navigate life after a loss, or you know someone who is, this program is a good way to learn more about grief, how it affects you, and how to heal.

School of Rock: Earth Science

Landslides, earthquakes, volcanoes, oh my! Learn about how rocks are formed and landbased natural disasters in this rock-tacular program lead by Mike Baldwin, Director of Youth Programs at the Memphis Archaeological and Geological Society. After the presentation, explore hundreds of different geological specimen, and even pick some up! No registration is necessary. Open until capacity is reached. Grades 3 and up.

Happy Thanksgiving from the Library!

The Library will close at 6 pm on Wednesday, November 27th and will be closed on Thursday, November 28th and Friday, November 29th for Thanksgiving. We will be open regular hours Saturday, November 30th, 10 am-6 pm and Sunday, December 1st, 1-5 pm.
