Child's Voice Wishes EI Teacher Ann Stein Happy Retirement
For the past 13 years, Ann Stein has been one of the first Child’s Voice teachers that Wood Dale families encounter. As an Early Intervention (EI) therapist, Ann helped children and families during their first step into learning to listen and speak.
“Her knowledge and care can been seen in so many Child’s Voice graduates. She has been a consistent support for so many families,” says Professional Development Coordinator Wendy Deters.

Visionary Voices
Finally home! My husband and I traveled for three weeks this summer. I have never done that before. I mean, seriously, I have always worked in the summer or attended college classes. This was a vacation of a lifetime. Moreover, as usual, I spread the word about Child’s Voice.

Fundraising Corner
More than 250 golfers, sponsors, and supporters enjoyed a day of golf on July 9 at Geneva National Resort, raising $11,600 for children with hearing loss. For the sixth year running, the Midwest Business Brokers and Intermediaries (MBBI) chose Child’s Voice as the beneficiary of their annual golf tournament.
MBBI is comprised of business brokers, M&A intermediaries, investment bankers, attorneys, accountants, bankers, SBA lenders, wealth managers and more who collaborate to create the most valuable experience for respective clients.
Over the six-year partnership, MBBI and Child’s Voice have generated $47,400 to benefit children with hearing loss as they learn to listen and to speak.
During the dinner portion of the event, attendees heard from Haley Drucker, a Child’s Voice alumna, about what attending the school meant to her.

Made in the Shade
While we all love the summer sun, sometimes you need to take a break in the shade.
Thanks to generous donors, including those who gave online, our kiddos now have shade on the playground.
Just another example of how we all work together to make Child's Voice a great environment for kids with hearing loss!

Rooms With New Views
Eagle Scout Colin Drexler and his team of helpers planted bushes and other greenery outside some of the classrooms, immediately improving the view for kiddos and teachers.
Eagle Scout
Anay Patel
installed paver bricks in back of the building to accompany benches built during another Eagle Scout project. The bricks and benches are a great place for staff to take a fresh-air break.
