Readiness

Sounds like PESACH
Use 6 zip lock bags and put each letter of P-E-S-A-C-H on a bag in marker or with a glued on index card. Cut out magazine pictures or newspaper pictures and see if you can fill each bag with 5 things that sounds like the letter. (for younger children-chose 1 picture each)    pickles-eggs-spinach-apples-cheese-hamburger. You can do eat each day of the holiday this week and next. you can switch it up and collect Pesadicha foods. or food you can't eat (chametz) or foods you miss during the chag (holiday).

Nuts to You-(gross motor practice)
Place a bucket or plastic bowl a short distance from your child(ren)
Have them toss nuts to see who can get the most into the bucket.
A variation at Passover time or any time, turn on a dime.  Parent and child or two children stand equi-distant apart with a dime in between, Use a tennis ball to hit the dime (or turn on a dime) trying to turn it over.  Hand eye coordination, gross motor skills, and just plain fun.

Emoji Plates
Yes this is going on way too long. Have your child make 2-4 emoji plates to show how they are feeling. use them in the morning before the day begins or at bedtime to depict their feelings about the day.
Encourage them to share why they feel happy. or why they feel sad.

Dramatic Play-Commercials
The bath tub, the breakfast table or just spending time together  can be a fun time to make a commercial for foods they like or a toy or book they feel is super special.  talk about commercials. What commercials do they like on television? why? challenge them to make one about something that is particularly meaningful to them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A-B-C Letter sounds are all around. Go through the alphabet with your child (ren) and ask them to name children's names, or fruits, or things in a school, or things in your home that begin with each letter of the alphabet.  You can give them 3 passes (Q-X and sometimes Z are hard)  a-amy, b-barbara, c-carol d-david e-ellen  etc.

Happy to make a special call to your child from 9:30 to 10 am today of Wednesday on your cell or your home phone, email me at [email protected] and we'll connect.

Missing you
B'ahava (love always)
Morah Mindy
