CABINET HARDWARE PRODUCT OF THE YEAR
COLONIAL BRONZE: CUSALUS E SERIES
Until the CuSalus E series product was released, the only EPA approved antimicrobial copper alloy was a cupronickel alloy that is 90% copper and 10% nickel. It created cabinet hardware products with a soft rose silver color that is very difficult to coordinate with today's finish offering and is not a color that the design market found attractive. Additionally, the cupronickel alloy is brittle and difficult to mold into popular styles. With the EPA approval of additional antimicrobial copper alloys, EPA-registered manufacturers, such as Colonial Bronze, now could offer a true brass color in many design shapes. CuSalus initial E series offerings consists of 80 attractive designs in two finishes - polished and a softly tumbled finish named Velour. The new CuSalus E series offers designs and colors that designers and homeowners find attractive while delivering the health benefits of killing 99.9% of bacteria in 2 hours. Colonial Bronze's new CuSalus E-series product line is a one-of-a-kind product offering in today's cabinet hardware market.
