It’s that time of year again when parents begin to plan for the upcoming year. We are waiting on approval of our calendar by the Archdiocese. While some details are still being confirmed, you can plan on the following dates:

  • First Day of School: Monday, August 15 (half-day)
  • Thanksgiving Break: November 21 – November 25
  • Christmas Break: December 19 – January 2
  • Spring Break: March 13 – March 17
  • Last Day of School: Thursday, May 25 (half-day)

More information to come when our final calendar is approved.

ALL-SCHOOL NEWS
CAR LINE NOTES
Baseball & softball games will be starting this week. On home game days, cars from the visiting teams will be entering the St. Teresa parking lot from Bay Branch and will be parking in the St. Teresa Center lot. Games start at 4:15 pm, so cars will be arriving during dismissal time. If you use the rear lot for personal pick-up, please be extra cautious of traffic and courteous to our guests.

Do you have great photos of athletics or school events that you'd like to share for use in our yearbook or in school media? NURSE'S NOTES
ο»ΏWe will continue to work closely with our local health department officials and the Catholic Schools Office to ensure the safety of our students and staff should the school experience a positive case of COVID-19. Please see the attached document regarding screening of your students and on-campus requirements should someone test positive for COVID-19.

  • Parents, please call or e-mail attendance@staopcs.org and Mrs. Pavlock (lpavlock@staopcs.org) if a child is out for illness.
  • REMINDER: Students must stay home if a household member is being tested for COVID and must remain out until results have returned.

MARY'S MEALS
Thank you to everyone who helped contribute to our Catholic Schools Week Stewardship Project! As a school we raised over $2,500 for Mary's Meals! This will allow Mary's Meals to feed 120 children for a year!
PADUAN PARENTS
GO TEXAN DAY - Volunteers needed!
Go Texan Day is Thursday, Feb. 17th and we always need volunteers to help run activity stations! Please sign-up if you are able to assist!
CAR LINE VOLUNTEERS - Morning & Afternoon
We always need volunteers who are willing to help with car line in the mornings or afternoons! If you can volunteer, please contact Mrs. Bierbaum at cbierbaum@staopcs.org. Thank you for offering to help!

FUN FOR TEAM MEMBERS:
  • The student who raises the most through their individual fundraising page will win an iPad! (Deadline is Sunday, Feb. 13th at Midnight!)
  • All students who attend the race and beat Mrs. Tucker’s time will get a Homework Pass.
  • Middle School students who attend the race will earn 2 service hours. Be sure to check-in at the tent tomorrow to get your service hours!
  • All team members can wear their Steps for Students t-shirts and jeans on Monday, Feb. 14th.

  1. 5K TIMED: Compete against other runners and your best 5K time on this route! Price: $20.00 Race Fee
  2. 5K UNTIMED: Like the Timed 5K.... but not timed. Price: $18.00 Race Fee
  3. FAMILY FUN RUN: Under a mile route. Price: $17.00 Race Fee
  4. HIT THE SNOOZE FOR STUDENTS: Support Catholic schools without running the race! Register to Hit the Snooze and you will still receive the official race t-shirt shirt, but will not receive a bib or race medal. This is the option for those who would like to participate virtually. Price: $18.00 Race Fee

AUCTION DONATIONS & REGISTRY
We need your help to make our gala baskets and auction AMAZING!! To ensure proper recognition at the auction and on our Gala website (apschool.givesmart.com), please submit your donations no later than March 11, 2022.

Items may be shipped directly to the school or dropped off at the front desk anytime during school hours.
