ARTS PROJECT SUPPORT GRANT APPLICATION REVIEW
ON MAY 4

Lafayette, Ind. - The Tippecanoe Arts Federation (TAF) will host the annual review of Regional Initiative Grant applications on May 4. As a Regional Arts Partner of the Indiana Arts Commission, TAF administers state funding to a fourteen-county region through the Regional Initiative Grant program, which provides funding to nonprofit organizations in order to ensure all Indiana citizens have access to quality arts and cultural activities.

This year's grant application review meeting is open to the public even though the process has been moved entirely online in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The May 4 public meeting will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Zoom. Members of the public should register to view the meeting at https://zoom.us/meeting/register/uZQrcO6uqT0syOMDaIaYe9S0pkVk_AniGg.

Applications reviewed at the May 4 meeting will be for the Arts Project Support grant program that have been submitted by nonprofit organizations such as art museums, community bands, symphony orchestras, city governments, public schools, and libraries. The potential grantee organizations range in size and scope, but all will provide public programming to at least one of the following fourteen counties in the region: Benton, Carroll, Cass, Clinton, Fountain, Howard, Jasper, Newton, Montgomery, Pulaski, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Warren, and White. The applications will be reviewed by a panel composed of arts practitioners and community members.

The applications will be reviewed in the following order:
  • City of West Lafayette
  • Flora-Monroe Twp. Public Library
  • Fountain County Art Council, Inc.
  • Friends of the Frankfort Public Library
  • Gamma Eta Chapter of Kappa Kappa Kappa, Inc.
  • International Center of West Lafayette
  • Joyful Journey Inc, Adult Day Service
  • LTHC Homeless Services
  • MSD of Warren County (DBA: Warren County Learning Center)
  • Ouibache Music Festival
  • Tipton Community Theatre
  • Tipton County Bacon Festival
  • Uptown Project, Inc.
  • Wabash Center
  • Wabash College
  • West Lafayette Public Library
  • YWCA Greater Lafayette

Applications recommended for funding will be reviewed by the IAC’s Programs, Grants and Services Committee on May 28, 2020 with final funding approval made by the full Commission at its June 12, 2020 Quarterly Business Meeting.

Per the Indiana Open Public Meeting Law, IC5-14-1.5, both application review panel sessions will be open to the public for observation. These meetings will also be recorded. The public should note that there is no provision for public comment or questions during the grant advisory panel session.
