This Week: NRD Team Ecobeco to be Featured on Local Chanel 16 News Show 'Inside Out'

Sandy Perry from Ecobeco, was recently interviewed by Montgomery Municipal Cable Television as they delved into the story of the work that was done on National Rebuilding Day (NRD). Pat Smith, host of Inside Out, spoke to Sandy about their NRD project and the significance it held not only for the homeowner, but for the community at large. In order to provide the highest quality work, Ecobeco enlisted the help of two major partners: Tuckers Heating and Cooling and DeVere Insulation. In fact, this extraordinary team enlisted the help of several local businesses to sponsor this project, including but not limited to Regency Furniture, Famous Dave's, Floormax, and Family & Friends Carpet.

Sandy was joined by RTMC Executive Director, Christina Johnson, who provided some background information NRD and the organization in general. Be sure to check out the interview on local channel 16 - it airs May 18 - 21 and 25 - 28 at 7:30 pm. Take a look at  Ecobeco's blog post about the project as well! They have an in-depth story and many photos from the day.

Neelsville Presbyterian Church Changes Homeowner's Life on National Rebuilding Day!

Neelesville Presbyterian Church went above and beyond once again for National Rebuilding Day (NRD) 2017. House Captain, Craig Arold, described it as one of the most challenging jobs they have undertaken and they more than rose to the occasion. Neelsville was charged with rehabilitating the home of Ms. F, a Montgomery County homeowner whose home had fallen into such disrepair that her safety was at risk. Team Neelsville made it their mission to revitalize not only Ms. F's home, but also her life.

The team went to work on NRD gutting, scrubbing, and replacing the cabinets and sink in the kitchen, and repairing Ms. F's front walkway so she could enter her home safely. Ms. F was grateful beyond words for the work done by team Neelsville. She explained to Craig that she used to arrive home from work and sit in her car for almost half an hour dreading going in to face the situation inside of her home. With her new front walk and kitchen, she can finally rest easy at the end of a hard day in a home that is much safer and healthier. Thank you so much to team Neelsville for all of the fantastic work you do for those we serve and thank you to Ms. F for inviting RTMC and Neelsville Presbyterian Church into your home. We could not be more grateful for strong partnerships and resilient clients who trust us with one of their most important assets - their home. Take a look at the photos below to see a sample of the house before, during, and after the project.
