Corn Maze at Bishop's Orchards
The 2020 Corn Maze will be opening for the Season in September. Hours will be 10am-5pm everyday, through the end of October. The price is $7.00 per person, children 2 and under free. Last admission into the Corn Maze is at 4:30pm.
This year’s maze is designed in honor of all amazing front line workers. Through COVID-19, their dedication and cautious care has been what carries us all through. We want to say Thank You to all of you… this year’s to you!

New Haven & Neighborhood - (Approximately 70 miles)
Begin in New Haven.
- Take I-95 north to exit 51
- Pick up Route 1, then 146 and continue east to Guilford.
- Turn north on Route 77 to Durham, then north on 17 and west on 147, 157, 68 and 70 to Cheshire.
- Take Route 10 south to New Haven to close the loop.

Holiday Shopping
While we typically hold off on promoting holiday shopping until after Thanksgiving, once again 2020 is encouraging adjustments to our plans.
To manage holiday crowds, some shops are offering holiday specials now and we expect the majority of others to begin November 1. It has never been more important to support our local stores and restaurants. For your convenience, we are providing links to shops that offer online shopping, including gift cards. With the extended holiday season, we encourage you to combine some shopping with a nice meal, either indoors or outside as the weather is still lovely. |

Phase 3 Opened on October 8
Phase 3 represents the latest stage of the Governor's reopening plan for Connecticut. There are very specific rules that will take place during this phase.
- Restaurants, personal services, hair salons, barber shops, and libraries: Increase from 50 percent to 75 percent capacity indoors. NOTE: This is subject to COVID-19 safety requirements
- Outdoor event venues (e.g. amphitheaters, race tracks, etc.): Increase from 25 percent to 50 percent capacity. NOTE: This is dependent on the use of masks and social distancing requirements
- Indoor performing arts venues: These locales will be able to open at 50 percent capacity with masks and social distancing requirements in place
- Bars and nightclubs: These businesses will continue to remain closed.

Safe Stays
In addition to frequent reminders about what residents and visitors can do to keep themselves and others safe, our lodging properties, restaurants and attractions are doing their part as well. The Connecticut Office of Tourism hit the road throughout the state to video just some of the hotels, restaurants and attractions walking the walk when it comes to keeping their guests and employees safe. |

Travel Advisory
Anyone traveling into Connecticut, New York, or New Jersey from a state that has a new daily positive test rate higher than 10 per 100,000 residents or a state with a 10% or higher positivity rate over a 7-day rolling average are directed to:
- Self-quarantine for a 14-day period from the time of last contact within the identified state
- Provide proof of negative COVID-19 test results within three days of arrival to avoid quarantining
- Get tested in Connecticut and quarantine until receipt of negative test results
Travelers will now be required to complete a form upon entry into Connecticut stating their name, date of birth, state of origin, estimated length of stay and location while in Connecticut, as well as contact information. The form is required to be submitted to DPH and can be completed online by visiting ct.gov/travelform. |
