This is only a four-day week for students as Monday, October 12 is a student holiday. However, Monday remains a teacher work day as they finalize first quarter grades and prepare for the next nine-week quarter. Classes will resume on Tuesday as usual with the exception of the fact that we will have additional students returning to campus under the Face-to-Face option. As a reminder to our new Face-to-Face students and families, to protect our Knights we strictly follow the protocols outlined in the 2020-2021 OCPS Health and Safety Procedures Manuel so kindly plan ahead.

Thank you to everyone that participated in our October 6th Virtual Open House. The teachers worked very hard to put together quality presentations for the community so for those of you that participated, I hope you found the time helpful. I also want to remind our community members that we are holding our October School Advisory Council (SAC) meeting virtually this Tuesday at 5:30 pm (details just below). We rely upon feedback at these meetings to help the school stay the course with the respect to our school improvement plans. If you have a student at Lake Nona or are a partner in education, I invite you to attend.

I hope all of our Knights enjoy their Monday holiday and will be ready Tuesday morning for a successful, on time start to the second quarter!

With Knight Pride,

Dr. Stephanie R. Jackson, Ed.D.
Principal
Lake Nona Middle School
