A busy three months it has been! Chamber membership continues to grow and so do are programs. We just completed our 106th Annual Meeting, where we had the opportunity to share all of the exciting things happening at the Chamber. Leadership Seneca County: October Update

Leadership Seneca County met at the Chandelier on October 14th for its annual Scavenger Hunt. Most of the day was spent traveling, learning about the county’s history, monuments, and organizations. Some stops during the day included: Tiffin Metal Products, Concordance Healthcare, the Sorrowful Mother Shrine, Mennel Milling, Feasel’s Frame and Collision, and many more. FELC Science Club

T-SPL: November Make It At Home Craft Series

The Tiffin-Seneca Public Library has started a new virtual craft series for adults, “Make It At Home” which features free supply kits and an instructional video. November’s project is upcycled greeting card crafts.
The first 20 people to register will receive a kit with most of the supplies needed to create the crafts.  Register by Friday, November 6 by calling 419-447-3751 or by visiting the online calendar. Kits can be picked up beginning November 2 through November 6. Read more.

Salvation Army is gearing up for their Annual Red Kettle Campaign

The Red Kettle campaign is a well-known tradition held in the months before Christmas. The funds raised benefit those in our local community. Your generosity helps rescue Christmas for the most vulnerable in Seneca County. You can sign up to stand at a kettle and ring the bell. New this year is a chance for you to start your own Virtual Red Kettle. Read more.

Small Business Relief Grant
Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Lt. Governor Jon Husted announced Oct. 23 a $125 million grant program to help small businesses that have been harmed by the effects of COVID-19.
The grants will provide $10,000 to small businesses in Ohio with no more than 25 employees. Eligible businesses that are approved to receive grants can use the money for a variety of expenses, including mortgage or rent payments; utility payments; salaries, wages, or compensation for employees and contractors; business supplies or equipment; and other costs.
The application opens November 2 at businesshelp.ohio.gov. Funding for the program is contingent on approval by the Ohio Controlling Board. Read more about the grant program here.
Seneca County announced that the application process for the Seneca CARES Small Business Relief Program, which provides small businesses in Seneca County, including the cities of Fostoria and Tiffin, with financial relief from loss of revenue caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. For businesses in Tiffin and Seneca County, the program opens at 12 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, and close at 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9. More details
