Gift cards can be loaded with any amount you choose and can be applied to fitness programs, memberships and admissions, and child minding.

Festival of Wreaths
Presented by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Blackfalds.
Local businesses show off their business and community spirit by decorating a wreath. Wreaths are now on display at the Abbey Centre for viewing. Bidding is available at the Abbey Centre and
online. Bidding closes at 12 pm on Tuesday, Dec. 17/2019.

Facility Rental Rate Change
There have been some changes to our facility rental fees which will be in effect January 1, 2020 (per Council resolution Nov 26, 2019).
No changes have been made to the Abbey Centre Memberships or admissions.

Angel Tree
Help Blackfalds families celebrate and enjoy the holidays!
Take an angel off the tree across from Guest Services, leave a donation ($10 or $20 gift cards, board games and Cineplex gift cards) and help those in need experience the joy of the holiday season!
Drop boxes are available at After the Grind, Blackfalds Library and Blackfalds Servus Credit Union until December 6.

Klassic Kennels
Don't forget our furry friends at Christmas time!
If you wish to donate, the Abbey Centre has a permanent donation bin for Klassic Kennels, the Town of Blackfalds Animal Control contractor, which provides a vital service to our community.

Please bring your own Badminton racquet and birdies
Members and guests are responsible for bringing their own badminton racquets and birdies. Racquets and birdies may be purchased from Guest Services.

$2 Track Admission
Effective December 1, 2019 we will be offering a
$2 admission (TRACK ONLY):
Mon & Wed & Fri 9 am - 11 am
Tues & Thurs - 5 pm - 7 pm
Sat & Sun - 1 pm - 3 pm
Users will get a
TRACK ONLY identifiable wristband with their day admission valid only for that day and time.
Access to other 3rd level equipment is not included.

Day use lockers are available on all 3 levels of the Abbey Centre. We also have lockers available for longer term rentals. Lockers do not take tokens or coins so please bring a lock from home or you may purchase or rent one from Guest Services.

$10/month with minimum 3 month term
$100/year for 12 months from date of activation

CP Holiday Train
Date: Friday, December 6, 2019
Time: 8:05 pm - 9:00 pm
Location: CP tracks at Gregg Street between Broadway Avenue and East Avenue
We are excited that the CP Holiday Train is coming to Blackfalds again!
The train is scheduled to arrive at 8:05 p.m. but you are advised to arrive early to get the best spot!

Date: Friday and Saturday December 7 & 8
Time: 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Location: Abbey Centre | 4500 Womacks Rd
$2,000 in prizes and over 100 unique vendors!
You don't want to miss this two-day Christmas Market!
Take part in the onsite photo booth, DIY cookie decorating classes, and Santa's Workshop where kids can shop with a guide to buy $5 and $10 gifts for their family!
Admission is by donation in support of Paws and Claws Animal Rescue.

New Year's Eve Family Free Skate
Bring the family and celebrate with us for a fun evening of free skating. Be one of the first 50 people to arrive and take home a special treat!
Plus free prize draws, complimentary snacks & beverages, and a photo booth to capture family memories.

Get Amped for C'AMPED Day Camps
As everyone is getting the kids ready to go back to school, please keep in mind our Professional Development (PD) days and Spring Break camp programs.
C'AMPED is for kids ages 6 - 10 and is home away from home on PD Days and Spring Break. Synchronized with the Wolf Creek school calendar, the Abbey Centre is the place to be!
From 8:30 am - 4:30 pm these camps are jam-packed with games, crafts, sports, and adventures that will keep kids active and stimulated throughout the day.
Cost is $35/day
Extended care is available for $5 (Drop off 8:00 am | Pick up 5:00 pm).

Free Fitness Centre Orientations
We offer FREE daily fitness centre orientations. Youth 12 - 17 years of age must have an orientation in order to access the Fitness Centre or Running Track.
Please book your orientation in advance by calling
Registration will be closed 20 minutes prior to the scheduled times.

Our online registration system is a fast, easy and convenient method of viewing and registering for Town of Blackfalds programs.
Once your online account is set up, you will have access to online memberships and program registration including Fitness, FCSS, Arts & Culture, and C'amped programs.

Clothing & Clean Shoes Policy
The Abbey Centre is a family friendly facility and clothing should be appropriate for all ages. Please NO sport bras, short shorts, deep scoop tank tops, bare chests or exposed midrifs. Clean, dry shoes are required in the Fitness Centre and Field House.
