October 2020
I pray that you and yours are safe and healthy!

We are now approaching the BIG week- National Vocation Awareness Week! Since more and more parishes and schools are opening up, I urge you to figure out the best way to bring awareness to vocations November 1-7! Find out more about great activities you can do below.

National Vocation Awareness Week
National Vocation Awareness Week is an annual week-long celebration dedicated to promoting vocations to the priesthood, consecrated life, and marriage through prayer and education, and to renew our prayers and support for those who are discerning their vocation. Even if you live outside of the US, do consider bringing awareness to vocations throughout the year!

  • Make an announcement at Masses about activities
  • Order/Print out Church Book Rack Materials
  • Order free copies of Vision Magazine at vocationnetwork.org
  • Ask a priest to speak about vocations/share his testimony at Masses
  • Ask a priest, sister, or seminarians to visit education classes and parish school classroom via Zoom, if necessary
  • Give out Table Tents, found at www.vocationministry.com, to families at Masses and youth at youth group/religious classes
  • Invite married couples to speak to youth group
  • Ask priest to bless married couples at Mass
  • Suggest to teachers to play games and show vocation videos to kids
There is so much that can be done. Use your creativity and share how you are going to celebrate this week with us!
We are Hiring
We are so excited to announce that my current assistant is moving to a new role of Finance and Development Director, which opens up a new employment opportunity at Vocation Ministry. Please share with those who live in the Houston area and may be qualified. God bless you! St. Alphonsus Liguori, pray for us!
Workshops are Resuming!
Although our workshops were put on hold this spring, in-person workshops have resumed! Praise God!

These pictures were taken at the Diocese of Syracuse Priest Convocation last month. I will be holding a workshop for Syracuse parishioners and then the priests of Philadelphia in November and their parishioners in December. Let us pray for courageous priests and bishops who are focusing on vocations!
Benefit Dinner a Smashing Success!
Thank you to everyone who supported the Women in White: Celebrating Sisters gala! We had 101 auction items, 600 bids from all over the country, and 2 incredible raffles, and 10 small watch parties, enabling us to reach our goal! If you did not get a chance to hear the incredible Sr. Joseph Andrew speaking, more about Vocation Ministry's triumphs and future goals, or the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia singing from their chapel, click on the video below! It has received rave reviews!

As always, know that you are in my prayers. If you think of it, please pray for me, too.
God bless you!
