WE ARE FEEDING OUR COMMUNITY Carver Market is distributing individual meals to Port Chester residents every Saturday from 10:00am-12pm. We anticipate the need for food to grow in the upcoming colder months. These weekend meals are vital to our Port Chester families.

CARVER MARKET BY THE NUMBERS In the month of September, the Carver Market served 1,026 households and fed approximately 3,369 individuals in those households. WE ARE ACCEPTING DONATIONS. 3D PRINTING? WOW!!! Do you know what 3D printing is? It's a process of making three dimensional solid objects from a digital file. Our Carver Teens and Tweens love working with our STEAM Coordinator, Emilio Vargas, who helps guide them through the inner workings of the process. A second 3D Printer was recently donated by Chappaqua Teen and Technology Whiz, Niels van Ritbergen. He stopped by Carver recently to deliver, set up and calibrate the newest addition to our Robert Kaplan & Debra Stokes Kaplan Technology Learning & Innovation Center.

CARVER CITIZENSHIP CLASSES We can't stop talking about the great work our Citizenship Coordinator, Fabiola Montoya is doing to help prepare our Port Chester residents for their citizenship tests. Classes are now underway. Congratulations to one of our newest U.S. citizens, Danilo Perez Orjuela, originally from Colombia. Our NIA Young Women's Leadership Group recently participated in a very informative and successful workshop, given by My Remarkable Self. The My Remarkable Self® program offers children the skills to empower themselves within their community, to make their lives socially, academically and personally successful. It is a program that offers training in communication and problem solving tailored to address specific issues and challenges facing children ages six through eighteen.
