The state reported today another 50 COVID-19 associated fatalities overnight, bringing the total to 1,086 in our state. Total laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases reached 17,550 and hospitalizations dropped by 8 down to 1,938.

We are all in a strange, unfamiliar situation. Just because we are socially distancing, please do not forget that you are not really alone. If you are having trouble getting through or getting by, there are still lots of resources available to you. Here are a few:

If you are experiencing domestic violence or know someone who is, below is helpful information. Please visit  www.CTSafeConnect.org   or call 888-774-2900. An advocate can talk with you about your needs and help you identify shelters, programs and other resources. All services are confidential, safe, free and run by experienced volunteers.

During this time of social distancing, it is imperative that the alcoholic who still suffers is aware that Alcoholics Anonymous continues to be of service. Connecticut Area 11 has posted guidance on accessing AA via online meetings. Please visit  https://ct-aa.org/covid-19/   for meeting information.

Resources are available that you may not be aware of, whether it is financial, child care, domestic violence, housing or other situations that you may need guidance for. Visit www.211CT.org or call 211 for access to many resources that can be helpful.

A new Rapid COVID-19 testing center is open in New Haven. No prescription is necessary to get tested, although testing is by appointment. Test results in 30 minutes - no cost to test.   Click Here for more information.
