The Washington County Arts Council presents âPure Spirits the works of Robert Stuart Cohenâ at the Gallery from January 9, 2020 through February 4, 2020 with an Opening Reception on Thursday, January 9, 2020 from 5pm until 7pm.
The Arts Council will host Mr. Cohenâs Artist Talk on Saturday, January 11, 2020 from 2pm to 4pm.
Mr. Cohen says, âA love of color, variety and illusion define my artistic endeavor. Currently, I am visualizing a dynamic, rectangular plane in various contexts. I try to balance the rational and impulsive by using both carefully rendered and spontaneous techniques. I incorporate variety by combining various styles and assembling multiple canvases. The resulting images are metaphors for balancing order and freedom, extending boundaries, and bridging differences.â
