The Rev. George S. Johnson was born on September 20, 1933. He was ordained on April 1, 1962 and began his first call at that time with Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Pacifica, CA, where he served until 1966. During his ministry, he was also called to serve Christ Lutheran, Long Beach (1967-1979); the ALC Hunger Office in Minneapolis as Director (1980-1987); Our Savior's, Circle Pines, MN (1987-1993); Red Hill Lutheran, Tustin, CA (1993-1994); and Cambridge Lutheran, Cambridge, MN (1995-1998). He retired on September 1, 1998. Following his retirement, he served as interim pastor at both San Marcos Lutheran, San Marcos and Clairemont Lutheran, San Diego.
We give thanks for his ministry within the Pacifica Synod.
