Good afternoon,

Thank you. I have never been more acutely aware of the ripple effects of our actions and how we are all connected. Thank you for your trust in our role and responsibility as Habitat for Humanity. Thank you for your support and for your patience, as we act to do the next right thing.

We see the extraordinary measures to help keep people safe. We see the pain and suffering. We see the exemplary acts of generosity and innovation around the world. We see you staying at home (if you can), to help save lives. The kindness of a neighbour and entire communities to support the vulnerable among us, shows that even in isolation we are better together. YOU have an extraordinary impact!

All of us at Habitat Brant-Norfolk remain steadfast in our mission. Difficult decisions have been made. The nationwide shutdown of our ReStores; cancellation of our fundraising events; postponement of team builds and other revenue generating activities, has been hard hitting. This is lost revenue - and it's what we depend on to exist and to do our good work - always in response to the growing need for safe, decent and affordable homes in our community.

This pandemic highlights the necessity of having a safe and affordable place to live.

Our healthcare professionals are on the frontlines of this crisis so we can be safe at home. Yet for many people, a safe and decent home is simply not a reality. Now, more than ever, these people and families amongst us, are going to need a hand up.

To help local families realize and sustain affordable homeownership, I ask you to consider a donation to Habitat for Humanity Brant-Norfolk if you are in a position to help. Your support, in any amount, could have a tremendous positive impact on a local family who is counting on us now, more than ever.

Thank you. We will build again together. Until that time. please keep in touch and be well.

Sincerely,
