Updates: 2020-2021 District Calendar
This week our school board approved a new calendar for the current school year which includes some additional scheduled professional development days for our staff. Those days are new, non-school days for students.
No School - Friday, November 6th

Teachers will be participating in Professional Development next Friday. Students will not be required to log in or complete virtual work that day. Enjoy the long weekend!
Other Professional Development/No School days in November are:
Monday, November 23rd & Tuesday, November 24th. Thanksgiving Break follows.
Wear Pink on Thursday, November 5th

October was Bully Prevention month. Please wear pink with us on Thursday. Why pink?

In 2007, at a high school in Nova Scotia, Canada, a 9th grade boy wore a pink shirt on the first day of school and was bullied and harassed for wearing that color. Some students even threatened to beat him up. Two 12th-grade boys found out about the bullying and decided they wanted to help. That night, they emailed and texted as many of their classmates as possible and told everyone to wear pink the next day to support the 9th grade boy who had been bullied. They called it the "Sea of Pink." When the victim came to school the next day, he was overwhelmed by all the support he received and it was a powerful moment to see so many people wearing pink. The story made the news all across Canada and the United States, and now many schools participate in the Sea of Pink.

Wear pink this Thursday to create a Sea of Pink and join in the fight against bullying!

Community Resource

A free resource kit for students in grades 6-12 is available at the Delafield Public Library.
Start the Day Right!
The school year is well under way. The snow and slippery roads may be here sooner than we'd like.
The office staff and teachers would like to remind students and parents that the school day begins at 7:20am. Students should be in their classrooms and ready for announcements at that time. Students who arrive after 7:20am are required to stop in the office to sign in and will be marked tardy.
PTO

Our Virtual Book Fair runs through 11/8.

Take time over the weekend to look over the book fair flyer and author video for some great book ideas.
