Second Reading:
My God will fully supply whatever you need, in accord with his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.
To our God and Father, glory forever and ever. Amen. (Phil 4:19-20)

“Go out, therefore, into the main roads and invite to the feast whomever you find.” The servants went out into the streets and gathered all they found, bad and good alike,

A Message from our Parish Pastor, Father Phil
|
|
Dear Parishioners:
Upon reaching a certain age and becoming eligible for Medicare, one quickly learns about the annual Medicare Wellness Visit. The patient completes a preliminary questionnaire and reports to his/her primary care physician for a general check-up: height, weight, blood pressure, pulse rate, listening to heart and lungs, etc. The visit provides the patient an opportunity to report any new aches/pains/concerns to one’s doctor. Unplanned (2019) Screening - October 19
Please join members of the SJB community for a screening of Unplanned (2019), which tells the inspiring true story of one woman's journey of transformation. One of the youngest Planned Parenthood clinic directors in the nation, Abby Johnson was passionate about her work counseling women about their reproductive choices -- until the day she saw something that changed everything, leading her to join her former enemies at 40 Days For Life and become one of America's most ardent pro-life activists. The screening will be on Monday, October 19 at 6:00pm in the School Library, and registration is required. CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE AND REGISTER

A Message from the School Principal, Mrs. Amy Nelson
|
|
COVID-19 has certainly been challenging for schools all across the nation as everyone strives to adhere to safety precautions, like wearing a mask, and learns to adapt to the new "normal." St. John the Baptist School continues to work hard to follow CDC guidelines and to adapt to non-traditional ways of doing things. For example, Blessing of the Animals was done without having a large gathering, but rather keeping everyone safe, students stayed in their classrooms and held stuffed animals or photos of their pets as Father Phil did the blessing over the PA system. Mooing, woofing, meowing, and other animal noises were heard as Father did the blessing! The teachers and support staff are doing an incredible job of teaching students in-person and virtually and adjusting to the new "normal."
Thank you for your continued support!
Mrs. Amy Nelson

RCIA Classes Now Forming
Learn what Catholics believe in an open and welcoming environment through the RCIA Program. RCIA stands for the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. Anyone is welcome to participate - from folks who have been baptized in a different Christian faith to those who have never been baptized in any faith to ‘cradle Catholics’ who want to know the Catholic faith more completely. Through RCIA, adults can become fully initiated into the Catholic Church by receiving Baptism, First Holy Communion and/or Confirmation. Contact Paige Katzfey by the end of the month via phone at (920) 892-4006 x315 or email at pkatzfey@sjbplymouth.org for more information and/or to register.

Pastoral Council and School Advisory Positions Open
Every year in the spring positions (seats) on the School Advisory Board and Pastoral Council are vacated due to terms ending. In a normal year we would have a discernment process to fill these seats. Due to 2020 being a very unusual year, we were not able to follow any norms. There are currently two open positions on both Pastoral Council and School Advisory. Please consider volunteering for a position. We need energy and passion, we need the parish members to support these important roles. If you want to have input this is a positive way to do so. If you are interested or would like more information please contact: Tony Misho, Pastoral Council Chair
