Saturday, November 16th from 1-5pm at
Sidetrack Bar. Attendees will be able to sample chili from Lakeview East restaurants and vote for their favorite to win the competition. Enjoy drink samples from Jack Daniel's, enter to win fun giveaways and sip on your favorite cocktails while tasting delicious chili.
Tickets are just $10 per person, which includes chili samples and fun giveaways. Event proceeds benefit the Lakeview East Chamber and the Heartland Alliance.

Lakeview Supper Club: Vegan Supper with Bottles Up! & Fancy Plants Cafe
Join the Lakeview Supper Club for their first ever vegan dinner on Tuesday, November 19th at 7pm! Begin the night at Bottles Up! with a wine tasting and appetizer pairing, then head over to Fancy Plants cafe for a 5-course vegan dinner.
Tickets are only $45 (including tax AND tip). Members can purchase up to 3 tickets. Dinner at Fancy Plants will be BYOB and discounted wine will be available at Bottles Up! during the appetizer portion of the night.

One-Stop-Shop Services for Neighborhood Businesses and Entrepreneurs
New Regional Small Business Centers and Fast-Track Business Signs initiative both to reduce red tape and bring much-needed licensing support to the neighborhoods
Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot and the Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection (BACP) yesterday announced two landmark programs to better support Chicago's small business owners by increasing community resources and removing red tape for thousands of entrepreneurs. As part of the Mayor's 2020 Budget, five new Regional Small Business Centers will be established next year to provide residents with easy access to business licensing support and information in their communities.

19th District Community Alternative Policing Strategies (CAPS)
The 44th Ward is served by the 19th District (bounded by Lawrence, Lake Shore Drive, Fullerton, and the Chicago River). Each police district is divided in beats, and each beat has a team of beat officers assigned to it. Police representatives from these teams and local community leaders conduct the CAPS meetings.
