What Are Our RE Teachers Up To?
Hi, All my UU friends,
I’ve been making the most of this time spent staying home. I’ve been reading, writing in my journal and meditating, which are difficult to capture in an interesting photograph. Out in the yard, life is popping! I planted some tomato plants that popped out of the tomatoes I bought at the store. (I never saw THAT happen before.) And, I finally planted the mango sapling that I grew from a seed that came from a mango my friend gave me last year. The baby plants are thriving. In a month or so, I’ll be making salsa with all the tomatoes! I hope everyone is finding interesting ways to spend their precious time.

Stay well and happy!  - Ms. Trish
Hello UUSP and RE Family! Just a personal hello from Jaide and I. I have been studying herbs and practicing meditation and a daily tea ritual more consistently. Self care and self love have become a major point of focus during these times.
Jaide and I have been spending a lot more time together reading, watching new movies and learning about gravity and the difference between living and non-living things. We have been cooking more and learning new recipes too. Jaide has taken an interest in science experiments and learning about the moon. She is improving tremendously on her reading and creating stories. She has grown a love for reading graphic novels as well. We miss you all and hope to see everyone very, very soon.

Until then, Stay safe! - Ms. Jeanay & Jaide

'Praise' - Poem by George Herbert

"To write a verse or two is all the praise
That I can raise:
Mend my estate in any ways,
Thou shalt have more.

I go to Church; help me to wings, and I
Will thither fly;
Or, if I mount unto the sky,
I will do more.

Man is all weakness; there is no such thing
As Prince or King:
His arm is short; yet with a sling
He may do more.

An herb distill'd, and drunk, may dwell next door,
On the same floor,
To a brave soul: Exalt the poor,
They can do more.

O raise me then! poor bees, that work all day,
Sting my delay,
Who have a work, as well as they,
And much, much more."
'Horizontal Number 8' Poem by JeanayJohnson

' What if… when we think we are awake, we are actually dreaming and when we are asleep, we are actually awake?
Aren't we just spirits occupying human vessels?
What if when we “ sleep” we are actually our natural beings…
Deja Vus we all have, repeating memories that hadn’t occurred…
Some obstacles we face, we conquer, facing choices we’d never thought we’d endure.
Our minds are limited by society but untethered and limitless like the quasars.. cosmos...beyond the planetary sights we scope..
Every element we are composed with came from above..
So shall it be above, shall it be below…?'
