Welcome Back to CentroNía: An Overview of the "New Normal"

Welcome back to a new and exciting school year 2020-21!

After all the challenges brought by COVID-19, we are happy to create some kind of normal for our children to continue supporting their development and learning. This week you will have the opportunity to connect with your children’s teachers and program leadership in Virtual Open Houses, when they will share more details on our calendar, health protocols, and programs. Here are the most important dates for the beginning of the new school year:

Monday, August 31:

New school year begins

FOR PRE-K PARENTS ONLY

One big change brought by this pandemic has been the need to connect education and technology further. In response to this “new normal” CentroNía Pre-K will be providing new iPads to all enrolled children to support their learning.
The Pre-K program will be offered in two modalities: classroom-based and remote during the first term of the school year (September 3^rd through November 6^th).
The classroom-based modality will be offered in six classrooms with eight children and two teachers each, where children will integrate technology with their iPads.
The children participating in the remote group will receive class activities and curriculum content through their iPads devices. Starting on September 28, the remote group will use their iPads to participate in a virtual classroom experience with live and recorded experiences offered through various applications (you will receive additional information in the coming weeks).
