News U CAN Use

One word.  VAPING! The Student Assistance Program (SAP) cannot urge you enough to do your research and encourage (and restrict) your child from using e-cigarettes or vaping devices. There are many fallacies and misconceptions out there. High school students are using vaping devices at alarming rates to consume nicotine as well as marijuana. Please educate yourself and keep your child protected. For a good start on learning the facts about vaping and its effects on teens and young adults, check out this resource from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

For more information or to have a confidential conversation about concerns you have for your child, please contact the SAP Office at 724-934-7260.
Planning for the 2020 Post-Prom

Planning for the 2020 Post-Prom has started! The Post-Prom will be held at NASH following the Senior Prom on Saturday, May 2, 2020. The Post-Prom will begin at midnight and will conclude at 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 3, 2020. The Post-Prom party is the senior parents’/guardians' “gift” to the students of the Class of 2020. It provides a safe and supervised environment for the students to celebrate after the prom.

The Planning Committee is still in need of chairs for two committees:

Publicity – This volunteer will be responsible for bringing awareness to the planning progress and upcoming events to support the Post-Prom.
Fundraising – This volunteer will be responsible for coordinating all fundraising activities to provide financial support for the event.

Parents/guardians who are interested in assisting with the planning are encouraged to contact the following chairs:

General Chair: Jaime Martinez ( jamartinez@matrixpdm.com) - Mr. Martinez will accept all general questions.
Registration & Registration Decorations: Paula Sansosti ( sansosti1@hotmail.com)
