Donate toys, gifts, and wrapping paper to our Holiday Toy Room
Our Annual
Holiday Toy Room is almost here! In 9 days, women and their children can come to the Centre and pick out gifts for themselves and their families for the holidays. Toy Room runs from
Monday, December 9 to Thursday, December 18. Appointments are required and run between
9:30am and 7:30pm Monday-Thursday, or
9:30am to 12pm on Friday.

You can still donate! We accept new and unopened toys for all ages of children, as well as gifts for women. Click
here for lists of gift ideas for different age groups and women.
We are especially in need of gifts for kids ages 8-18. Some ideas include gift cards valued between $25-$75 to Cineplex, Calgary malls, museums, art galleries, the Rec Room, and the Zoo. We need lots of wrapping paper too, and will accept new or used as long as items are in good condition.

Noel Festival
From
November 28 to December 31 at the Nutrien Centre on the Stampede Grounds, Calgary's new Christmas market is taking place. There is a cost for tickets, however 25% of the ticket proceeds goes towards the Centre when the promo code:
WOMENS2019 is used.

Dinner of Hope
On
Friday, December 6 from 7-10pm, the Supernatural Life Centre Calgary Church is hosting their Dinner of Hope. This free event gives individuals and families the chance to connect with others in their community, enjoy live music and entertainment, enter door prizes, and have a hot meal.

Are you a parent wishing to enhance your child's financial literacy? If so, this free Financial Fitness Class is for you!

Open house at the Indigenous Languages Resource Centre in the Calgary Central Library
Join the Calgary Central Library on
Saturday, December 14 at the Indigenous Languages Resource Centre on Level 4, to recognize and celebrate 2019 as the United Nations Year of Indigenous Languages. You can check out the new Indigenous Languages Resource Centre, and meet and greet with authors, illustrators and translators during a book launch.

Free Family Skate Night
Come in out of the cold to join us for

December Workshops & Holiday Hours
There are no workshops in December. Stay tuned to the
Women's Centre website for upcoming workshops in the new year.
Solstice
Lunch is a potluck-style meal hosted by the Women's Centre to celebrate the beginning of lighter days! It's a non-denominational holiday celebration that everyone in our community can participate in. It is open to all genders. No registration required.
The Women's Centre will close at 5pm on Thursday, December 19. We will re-open for services and regular hours on Thursday January 2, 2020 at 9:30am. We wish you all a safe holiday season and thank you for a great year.
