Win Suns Tickets
Suns Tickets Giveaway: ALL tax credit gifts entered by Monday, February 7 at midnight will be entered into a random drawing for two Phoenix Suns tickets for the Suns vs. Pelicans game on February 25! Want more chances? If you get your family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers to give their credit on behalf of you and your student and enter the student names in the referral line, you will get additional entries in the drawing! If anyone you know doesn’t have a public school to give their tax credit to, have them give it to Arete Prep!

Where your tax credit money is spent: Did you know that Arete Prep’s athletics and extracurricular courses, such as Heart for Others, Choir, Mentor/Mentee, Art Club, Horticulture, Women’s Fitness, and more are made possible by our families giving their tax credits to the school! Our goal is to provide high quality programs at a low fee for our students and families. You can help continue our mission to provide a truly comprehensive education that extends beyond the classroom walls, by donating your tax credit – and it really is no cost to you! There is no catch involved. If you pay taxes, you want to take this credit!

How it works: You give your tax credit via this link, save your emailed receipt, file it with your taxes (form 322) before or on Tax Day and will be credited by the state of Arizona at 100% for what you gave. For example, if you gave $400, you would get a $400 credit on your state income taxes – you can either reduce your liability (ex: you owe $1,000, subtract the $400 and now owe $600 instead) or you can increase your refund if you don’t owe anything! For more information, please contact Brittani Greve, Academy Giving Manager at 480.699.5283 or bgreve@areteprepacademy.org

COVID Guidelines Updated
Great Hearts has updated our COVID mitigation plan. The primary change is the isolation period for those that have tested positive, it has been changed from 10 days to five days. Day one is the first day following the onset of symptoms or a positive test (whichever comes first). Students and employees can return on the 6th day after the onset of symptoms or a positive test, but must wear a mask on days 6-10 or will need to continue quarantining for this period. As always, if your child has any cold or flu-like symptoms, please keep them home and call the front desk to report the absence. For further direction, please consult the COVID mitigation plan or contact Nurse Hodgkins.
Attention Student Drivers
Attention student drivers that do NOT have a paid parking spot on campus! There is FREE parking across Baseline Road next to Auto Zone. Do NOT park in the archway parking lot, at Wedgewood, INSPIRE, the medical facilites (across the street) or in the neighborhoods. Those locations are private property. If you park in the private parking lots, they may have you ticketed or towed.Thank you for helping to be good neighbors to those around us!
