Welcome to our new MSU intern
|
|
We are excited to welcome MSU student Addie Rohlman as our new Science Olympiad intern! You will likely be getting to know Addie much better in the months leading up to the tournament, and be sure to say hello at the State Tournament at MSU!
From Addie: Growing up, I had always had an interest in science; however, living in rural Montana, there were very limited opportunities for students like me to explore science outside of a classroom setting.
Science Olympiad was an amazing opportunity for me to understand a more true sense of science, and I am grateful for the experience I had in the program at Corvallis High School. When I heard about the opportunity at MSU to become a student intern for Science Olympiad, I was thrilled with the idea of helping high school and middle students in Montana experience Science Olympiad as I had when I was in high school.
As a student at Montana State University, I am majoring in Medical Laboratory Science with the goal of attending medical school after my undergraduate degree. I am a student of the Honors College and am also considering a minor in Hispanic Studies. In the few moments of spare time that I have, I like to read books, binge-watch TV shows, and try to convince myself that I enjoy running.

Send a personal message to the moon!
|
The Bobcats are going to the moon! Or at least our computer is. Through over a decade of research, MSU has created a new type of space computer that can operate in the harsh radiation environment of space while performing faster than existing space computers. NASA has selected MSU's computer to go to the Moon on an unmanned mission to really test it out. We put some extra memory on our computer to give you the opportunity to send a message along for the ride!
MSU is hoping to include 1,000 messages on this journey to the moon!
Submit a photo and/or message of around 50 words. Choose something that could inspire future generations and highlight the positive aspects of planet Earth, or consider a message paying tribute to somebody important in your life. Every student in your school can send their own message, and you can send one from your SciOly team, too! Submit your messages here.
