Please Check in on your Student!
During the past several days we as a university have received a large number of emails from students who need our help. While they are doing their best to maintain a positive attitude and finish the semester strong, many report that they are struggling academically, physically, financially, psychologically, and emotionally. We are doing all we can to help, but you know your child best.
Please check in on your students!
Especially if they are still here on campus.
Call, text or even email.
Here are some questions you could ask
:
- How are you doing overall?
- How are you doing financially? Are your basic needs being met? Do you have enough food and household supplies?
- How are you doing psychologically and emotionally? Are you connecting with friends and family via video chat, phone calls, or emails?
- How are you doing physically? Are you well? Are you finding ways to get fresh air and exercise responsibly?
- How are you doing academically? How are your classes going? Are you keeping up with your homework and assignments?
