Greetings CSS Community,

Thank you to everyone who joined in for the virtual parent meeting last night. Dr. Melissa Hocate and I discussed the recent pivot to e-Learning, COVID-19, and answered questions from parents. If you were unable to attend, you may watch the recorded session here.

As mentioned during the meeting, there are some calendar shifts to share with you. The most pressing are conferences, which are pushed back to the latter part of October and early November. For your convenience, they will be held virtually with afternoon and evening time slots. Please be on the lookout next week for information about how to sign up for conferences.

There will still be no school for students on Thursday, October 15, and Friday, October 16, to allow teachers time to prepare for conferences. Teachers are crafting comments for each student, including strengths and points for growth. If you look ahead, we have added December 17-18 to the calendar as school days.

Please note these upcoming important dates:

  • October 12-14, 2020: Families will begin to receive details for conference sign-ups.

  • October 15-16, 2020: No school for students. Teachers will prepare for conferences.

  • December 17-18, 2020: Students attend school. Please note these dates were originally listed as no school, but we are adding two instructional days.
