QP in the Community
Our QP students have been busy spreading Christmas Cheer throughout the community. The Contemporary Youth Choir (made up of 5th-8th graders) rang bells for the Salvation Army while caroling for the enjoyment of shoppers. Afterwards they got to sing for Santa.
INNOVATION & TECHNOLOGY LAB
The last few years have brought about big changes in the areas of technology, and Queen of Peace continues to be at the forefront of technology curriculum. With our 1:1 ipad initiative, and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) integrated into every grade level curriculum, we are preparing students for 21st century learning.

Recently our 'Computer Lab' was transformed into a new space for students to grow in the area of technology and innovation. Long gone are the long rows of tables and big computers with keyboards, replaced by smaller table communities children can work collaboratively together. Students work on a combination of ipad's and Chrome Books to complete projects.

The Our Lady Queen of Peace school class of 1969, which had 76 graduates, gathered at the Queen of Peace Parish Festival on September 21 st to reconnect, reminisce, and celebrate the fifty-year anniversary of their eighth-grade graduation.

Leave a lasting legacy and support Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish and School by giving the gift of a commemorative brick. Think about how excited your child, grandchild, parent, grandparent or entire family will be as they walk past their own name or that of someone they loved.

Bricks will be installed over the summer to the existing beautiful, commemorative patio in front of the entrance the school on Holly Avenue. Proceeds support the Maintaining Our Vision Fund used to protect, preserve and build upon the legacy of the church and school through providing a safe and comfortable physical environment.

SCHOOL OPEN HOUSE
Come and visit with your favorite teachers, and meet our new staff! There will be many activities for children going on in the classrooms and hallways. It is a great way to see our QP Community!

Joins us Sunday, January 26th from 9:00am-1:00pm for our annual Catholic Schools Week Open House.

Enjoy our children's choirs at the 8:00am and 9:30am Mass and then visit the school afterwards for refreshments and a tour!
TRIVIA NIGHT

What is Trivia Night?

Trivia Night is a night to show off all that useless information floating around in your brain! A team of 8 people will compete against other teams to win! Questions will be posed to all the teams, and team members consult together to respond on answer sheets that are turned into judges at the end of each round of trivia.

If not for the trivia, then for the fun!

Teams will also compete for the Best Themed Table. Turn your table into a theme such as a tailgate party, a fiesta, Wizard of Oz - the possibilities are endless! Bring your own food and adult beverages.

Cost: $20/person or $160/table of 8.
Get your graduating class together and let's see who can out-smart who!
