Dear Parents,
For the Weekly, I decided to share my closing remarks from the Mass that we celebrated today to close Catholic Schools Week.
Good morning and thank you to everyone for making this year's Cathollic Schools Week a special one. Every Catholic Schools Week is special because we celebrate who we are and where we come from. We are Bulldogs and we come from a tradition of excellence in education and a commitment to service to others. Both of these aspects of our foundation were eloquently expressed by the students who read their reflections in the prayer service that kicked off this special week.
We were reminded of our strong history and strong faith this week, as we are every week, through the students that lead us in prayer with the guidance of Mrs. Albertson. We are also reminded of it every day when we come together as a community of learning and faith, but just as importantly as a community of God’s children. All of us, our fantastic students and amazing teachers and our awesome parents, come together each day to make this place not only thrive but thrive joyfully.
We all know the past two years have been a challenge but the true strength of individuals and of organizations is measured in challenging times. Every day that I walk into this special place, I am more and more proud of how well we have risen to that challenge. This week is a week to celebrate that…and next week is the next chance to prove that we will continue to be up to the challenge.
Go Bulldogs!
Happy Catholic Schools Week!
As a Catholic school community we have the opportunity to pray together. Please be sure to include the Jacobs family in your prayers as they face this very difficult time.
Faithfully,
Chris Kelly
