Souper Bowl Sunday
Sunday is Super Bowl Sunday which means it is “Souper Bowl Sunday.” Our youth will be in the Crossroads to receive your financial donations to our local food bank, SHARE. You can put your donation in the L.A. Rams pot or in the Cleveland Bengals pot. Next week we will announce the “winner.” As background, Souper Bowl Sunday was started in 1990 by a Presbyterian Church in South Carolina. Since then over 170 million dollars (and food) have been collected to benefit local food banks and meal programs. Please give as you are able on Sunday! In-kind donations for SHARE will also be received!
The Pancake Supper is On!
The Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper will be held on Tuesday, March 1, from 6 to 7 pm. This year to keep everyone safe we ask everyone who is planning to attend to please make a reservation so we can plan accordingly. We are also offering “Take Out “options which you will need to order in advance. The Pancake Supper is a fund-raiser for the Youth Mission Trip to Harrisburg, PA, that is planned for this summer.
There will be a free-will offering. You can make your reservations or place your orders in-person after the worship services on Feb. 20 and Feb. 27 (in the Crossroads) or you can go to this Sign-Up Genius link. Please be sure to put the number attending or ordering for take-out. Thank you!
Pancake Supper Volunteers Needed!
Youth and adults are needed to make the Pancake Supper a success. We need
1) youth to be in the Crossroads to take “reservations” and “take-out orders” after the worship services on Feb. 20 and Feb. 27 and/or
2) helpers are needed on March 1 from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm for the actual supper.
We need adults and youth to set-up, serve, collect donations, and clean-up. Youth can earn Community Service hours! Use this link to sign-up to help and thank you!
