Help make food more accessible.
Organizations across the city are working hard to make sure Chicagoans still have access to nutritious food during this time of uncertainty. Our partner,
Ravenswood Community Services
is still hosting their pantry every Tuesday to help feed neighbors in their community. The pantry is in need of paper shopping bags so that neighbors can carry their food home more easily as well as non-perishable food donations.
Donation drop off is best on Tuesdays (that's today!) from 12:00 - 4:00pm at All Saints Church at 4550 N Hermitage Ave right before RSC opens the pantry at 4:00pm.
If you are unable to drop off on Tuesdays, you can also leave donations at the back entrance of All Saints Church. If you are facing the front of the church, there is a gangway between the church and the house nextdoor. Follow the gangway to a set of glass doors with a roof. Donations can be left by the doors 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday-Friday.
Try to limit unnecessary trips.
If you're out grocery shopping for your own family, consider buying extra non-perishable food items or recycling your shopping bags to donate to Ravenswood Community Services.
Please wear gloves and maintain social distance while shopping and dropping off donations. If you or a family member are not feeling well, please refrain from donating at this time.
